He said this was a rail hop into a bank gone wrong. I haven't been able to follow up with him, but he said that there will be stiches. Fun Fun Fun.

Say what?

Well I was fianlly able to stir up enough trouble to get 12 comments on one post, not bad. The site is making a comeback!
There is a bit of news today.
First off I think GOODS has the new Animal Video in stock. Pick it up before it's gone.
Mike "Came Up" Hoder will be down for a little bit. Think back to Criminal Mischeif, Van Homan's section, 20 Stair Rail that he manualed. If look look just past Van you will see a big white marble wall. Well Mike decided that he was going to wall ride down it over the stairs. I guess he made it with a foot down on the first try. On another try he was pedaling full speed towards the wall ride, when his chain broke. I guess he flew out of control down the stais and slid on his head good enough for a bald spot. Damn son, whoop that trick and get well.
I think something in Chipotle food has addicting qualities. When I moved here I couldn't stand the place. Now after it being the frequented lunch joint, I have cravings for the crack.
Stop by www.defgrip.com or www.vultbmx.com and peep Rich kickin it with Paul Wall, Nelly, Bun-B, Travis Barker and the Biker in Black. Damn intimate location and a live Grills performance, I knew I should have played hookie from work, now what it do?
Eddie Cleveland heads out in the morning to Austin, TX. for an Empire Contest. He will be staying with his new boi Chase Hawk. I think Eddie has been sleeping in preparation for trying to keep up with Chase's Party Life. Have fun Eddie, go get em' boi! Austin has no idea...
That's not it... Jesse Whaley is also heading off tomorrow for a Failure Bikes Trip. I am not sure where they are heading, but I think the plan is to stick to the dry and warm weather. Alright that is officially a full lid.-ben Read on.

Really having trouble here....
I really don't know whats going on around the hood.I recently completed a design for a street area that will be added to the big spot vacted by the Beaverton Vert Ramp. It is real nibbly ledge stuff, manual pads, and some real good flat rails. Nothing to crazy. But good enough for me to wish I was getting to ride it. I don't know when it will be done, but I am gessing it is for summer. The best part about the summer and Beaverton, that right, the helmet nazis.
I guess I will leak a little pic of what it is going to look like.-ben

Stuff and some other stuff
So the new Animal video "All Day" that everyone is talkin' about lately is shipping to shops right now. It should be in at GOODS early this week. Call and bug Shad every day to see if it's in yet!
In other news, Chester Blacksmith had a recent bout of bad luck including a rather hefty traffic ticket, and having to spend his rent money to get his car out of impound. Send all rent donations to GOODS and we'll make sure he gets it. Seriously, help a brother out folks!!
In case you didn't know, it's freaking freezing outside!!
Myself (Slodogg), and B-Dubbs are now Valentine Dunk twinsies. Yessss!!
That's all I can think of for now, email me some news if you have it. Peace

Harold Hunder R.I.P.
For any of you out there that have spent any part of your life on a skateboard know who Harold Hunter was. He was a Pro Skateboarder for Zoo York, starred in the movie KIDS, and was a core part of the New York Skate Scene. He was also a huge supporter and had great love for BMX. Everytime I saw this cat in a video or read something that he wrote, I lost it with laughter. Harold Hunter is gone. Anyone who had the opportunity to know/meet him realizes what a unfortunate event this is.RIP Harold Hunter, you will be missed.

Really a lack of....
news to post today. As you can see I make tweaks to the site pretty much everyday. I have some big plans to get this thing rockin' in full effect again. I have some non-riding related info. to pass on.This coming week Armory Skate Shop is releasing the Hawaii Dunks and I think they are releasing all of the other SB stuff right now. So if you are a sneaker head or one in the making, get on that, you got some catchin up to do.
Back to BMX related stuff....
The new RideUK has a Bruce Crisman Interview. It is quick and to the point. Def. worth checkin out.
In that same issue there is even a Rich Hirsch Interview about Lotek. It is a pretty funny read.
There is also a ton of other good content so find yourself one and check it out.
Hmmm, Odyssey Stuff is going to be off the Tofu racks this year. I think that's it. Oh yeah, don't tell them I told you that.
You will notice a Poll Added to the site. It really is just for something to do, were not trying to track you for the man. It is just a fun way for me to see if people are actually still visiting this thing. There is a bit of a bug with it right now. When you vote or check results, the stupid thing has pop-ups. I am working on that, give me a bit of time.
I think I will leave you with this parting shots of sorts that I shot of Mike Ardelean a few weeks ago with the new Digi. Cam.
If there is anything you guy's want to report or if you have something you want the readers of the world to peep email it in to either Slo or myself. We'll get it up in a quickness. Hell send me some pics of you shreddin or of what you like to shred. This site is yours, take advantage of it. Wow, i guess there was something to write about after all.-ben

Valentines Who???
So today is that wonderful day of consumerism. This is when the ladies get nice gifts and the men get shafted. Well hopefully the ladies are getting shafted too. I heard that it is supposed to be Steak and Blowjob day for men, no wait, that's March 20th. But still, that doesn't sound too bad. Anyway back to the hearts and stuff. Nevermind, I'm gonna skip that stuff.Heard that it was snowing really hard in Eugene. Could be a coke party gone out of control, or the meth lab known as Springfield could have finally blown up. I guess there is a chance that it is just plain ol' snow. The only thing we have falling from the sky around here is ash and pollenand I guess the ever so random xtreme dudes and stunt guys too.
The best part about today is that it is pdxbmx.com co-founder, the real web guy, old schooler at heart with tricks that still baffle any new schooler in girl jeans, sponsored smoker, former Coon Rapids resident, twin city roamer, member of kiss wanna be, clown costume gardener, dick on the mantle, Seinfeld on the Tivo, Lead Singer, back up drummer, Ben Davis wearing, studio in the basement builder, terrible 1er, odyssey lever hatin, baby blue bikin, friend to all, watch out he'll knee you in the balls, day of birth. Happy Birthday Jamie McParland.
I do beleive that he is clebrating his b-day down at the Hollywood Bowl tonight and do I ever wish I could make it. Here's to 32 Jamie, and here's to 32 more. Your newe levers are on the way.-ben Read on.

Kick ass weather!
I hope everyone has been out taking advantage of the amazing weather that has been going on. I know that I would be if I wasn't so busy here with my shop.Went and checked out my trails yesterday but a nice mudslide on the hillside by the trails that spilled out into one of the main lines and some drainage problems rendered them unrideable. Oh well. Once it dries out some more this spring they will be rockin again. Has anyone heard whats up with the Edge in Springfield?? Is Dave Thom finally going to get the F out CoosBay?? Can we keep the daily post going? Stay tuned kids, same bat time same bat channel. -Brice- Read on.
I can now post straight from my.....
mobile device. This is pretty cool, I love technology. I think I will add this little bit and pictures I have of Eddie Cleveland gettin' loose. These pictures are from a open house/BBQ Ride BMX on friday. The BBQ was also to celebrate Keith Mulligans 10 years with Transworld Publishing. Back to the pictures....
You see Ride also shares their building with a Motocross Magazine. The guys from that mag had a rad little quad that people were playing around with. These pictures are some time after the session started and Jeff Landtiser scared everyone riding the quad with his broken leg. Keith was pumped on how crazy Eddie and Jeff were getting and he set up this steep kicker ramp. As Keith set the ramp up, Jeff was already barreling down the street. Jeff saw the ramp and proclaimed, "Ah shit......" With an ease of the throttle, he then get fully back on it and blasts off the ramp.
The entire crowed stood stunned and watched Jeff land nose first and then the sparks go flying. The quad looked like it blew up, but nah, Jeff rode it out. Jeff jumped a few times and then Eddie got ahold of the ride. Eddie hit the ramp soooo fast and went so high and far. In this pic you can see a black blur seemingly under Eddie. That blur is Jeff on a little kids tricycle.
The BBQ was fun. Jesse Whaley was also up in the piece destroying the mini ramp. It was a little feeling of home in a new place.-ben

Well it looks like I gotta take this one....
It looks like my co-pilots aren't going to step up and post, so I will, again. I received the following email from non other than Asa P. of the Italiano Bici Familiano. It read like so:"Saw that you are updating on pdx a lot and I'm stoked I have something to read every night when I get home, got some news for you from Portland too. Kyle Karlscene is in town filming Ben (Hucke), Vince (Kroff) and Ryan (Mills) for the Premium Video and I continue to look handsome. Talk to you later crusher.Asa
It great to finally have some news that I didn't have to dig up. Thanks Asa.
To stay on note with the previous news. Premium rider, former pdx'er and huge fan of Dial-a-Pizza, Joe Riley was in a bad accident during his Mega Tour trip. I think this is the second time he has gone on the Mega Tour and the second time he ended up in a Hospital. Joes tire slid out on some coping during a manual and he was thrown to flat rupturing his spleen.
Joe was taken strait to surgery and spent a week in the hospital with doctors changing their minds everyday whether to remove or leave his spleen in. Turns out the temporary fix they had done started healing over the week, so he was lucky enough to keep the spleen.
I had a chance to hang out with Joe today and he has been changed quite a bit by this accident. He is in good spirits and is making a healthy recovery. He should be off his bike for at least the next 2 months. I can't wait to see him killing it again. Get well soon Joe.
I guess that is all I have for today. Keep coming back, seems like there is something new everyday.-ben Read on.

Turning 30 never felt so good...
I was invited to go on the Megatour with Solid Bikes in January, so I just had to go. Especially since I was turnig 30 on the end of the trip. I had so much fun with all the Solid guys that I can't think of a better way to leave my 20's behind and step into my 30's. I slept on a beach in January with some close friends, wich I thought was crazy since it was cold and just dumping rain back home in Portland. Even though I was one of the old men of the crew I felt like I still produced some good footage. Check out the video around summer time. If you look at the bottom of our stories you will notice that you can comment on most of them, so lets do that. I really want to see if people are still checking out the site. I know I have said this before, but i think I have some really cool stuff planned for the site. Hmmmm, it would happen if we could get some crappy weather around here. Random Surfing....
I was cruisin the web and I found this on the FBM site. It is pretty rad. Take a read and see what Crandall had to say."There has been some chatter about our pic for the Vid comtest, and the winner, Tyler Bergstrom, Tyler called me this weekend, from Shads cell phone, at Goods in Portland, and he was stoked. Some People thought Tylers part wasn't filmed good enough, or that he didn't do enough tricks, I don't give a shit, here's a couple reasons we picked him, His buddies are laughing in the background while they filmed, he wrote FBM on his beer gut and ate shit with no shirt on, we never heard of him, he was riding a piece of shit bike, and it looked like him and his friends love BMX. Simple enough, it was just cool, filmed shitty, spots we've never seen, and it had Ted Nugent, and I hate Ted Nugent. Alot of the other entries were amazing, and the guys who sent in tapes, some of them were flat out badasses, and can probably all get sponsored. We gave Tyler a bike for his efforts, no big deal. Maybe we'll do it again next summer."
Congrats Tyler, the FBM crew are really a budch of good guys. Have fun.-ben Read on.

Rumor has it...
So the rumor is that the new Salem indoor will officially be open for sessions this Monday, that's TOMORROW!!While helping out on Friday night there was still a little bit of masonite to still be put on, mostly on things like the bowl corners. Other than that everything is just about all done and ready to roll. James Cox and crew have been working their asses off to get this place rolling and it's finally coming together.
I'll post session times and prices as I recieve them, until then it's word of mouth folks. The place is pretty damn dialed so I suggest that everyone go check it out ASAP!
