Heading Home...

Well how do you follow up a long night in bed at 4am up at 8am in the office by 9:30am. You write a post for the website waiting for the clock to tick 4pm so you can run home and head out to LAX. I should be home around midnight tonight. It has been almost 4 months since I was last up in Portland and I have missed it.

This is the last thing of the year and it has been a crazy one. I was at my last job for around 9 months and it seemed like 9 years. The last 13 months have flown bye. Hard to believe I have been here that long, it has truly seemed like a few months. A lot of my designs are dropping right now and it is pretty much the fulfillment of a dream.

In high school I did bmx design for my Senior Project. In college I did bmx design for my final project. It took 8 years of hard work and even harder times for me to get to this position in life. Top of the job chain, to the bottom of the homeless train, it has been a crazy last few years and I am finally getting everything back in order.

I have been putting so much into my work lately and it hasn't left much for anything outside of the office. I guess that is why the site has been slacking. I just want to let you know there are some GOODS things cooking up in the background for this site. I know it isn't the end of the year, but the end is near. Time for change, be patient.-ben

UPDATE!!!

So it has been some time since our last update. It seems like we can't ocunt on any of the crew that is actually in Portland to update the site. I have recently been out of my mind busy with work. Nothing really to share, just getting 07' ready.

There have not been hardly any email pertaining to the website in some time. Paul Ritter came out of the darkness and shot me an email asking that I update this thing. So this is what you get. I guess it had either been really nice, shitty, wet, dry, warm and cold there lately. I am also guessing that in just today you have seen every type of weather in the matter of an 8 hour period.

My house has seen as much traffic as the 405. The 405 between the OC and LA, not the quick cutter around the west side of PDX. Oh yeah, that also means there is an insane amount of traffic. Weeks ago I had Solid team round 1 in the crib. I may have written about that already. The week after Thanks Giving they were back in the crib. Shad, Aussie Mike and Josh, Sequoia, Adam Sanchez and some other dude that didn't talk or say thanks stayed. I wasn't feeling the guy who didn't answer when you ask a question and didn't say thanks when he left. That dude is on the "Fuck that Guy" list.

Soon after, the very next evening, the Sunday team moved in for several days. What a mess the house was. 8 guy's, lots of stuff and tons of riding. It was a lot of fun and very unproductive from a work angle. That whole crew are good people.

I think on the 1st, I DJ'ed for Seven Ocular and we opened for RZA. It was pretty much the ultimate dream come true. I split durring the RZA set. Watching his sound check was as raw and as real I was ever going to see the RZA perform. It was just Chris, Link and myself in the place for that and it was so on point. GRAAAAAVE DIGGGAZZZ!!!

THis past weekend, Hucke and Vince showed up on the scene doing some work with Premium. I picked those guys up, including B-Turns, from the middle of nowhere, San Pedro, with some heavy bribes and we all went to Jim Bauers house for a bit of a Christmas Party. We had a great time. Drinks, Friends and Christmas, what more could you ask for?

I leave next Wed. evening to rejoin PDX for a week. I can't wait. It has been about 4 months since my last trip home. See ya if I see ya. Until next time.-dubbs
