Portland area skateparks update...

"There is a lot of skatepark news. The Glenhaven park opened today (4/27) and was still fun while dodging a million kids trying to impress each other with there fastplants to flat. Park should be fun in some time. It features a good-sized street course with some tranny. The park also has two bowls one small, and one with medium sized trannies and some hips. The smaller bowl is shaped like a peanut and is Team Shralp Approved w/ stairs and fully wrapped with pool copping.

The Vancouver, WA park has been started. About half of the bowl is done and the full pipe is poured. It looks like tons of fun and hopefully will be open sometime this summer. I heard a rumor today that it may not be open until the rest of the park features, playground equipment, walkways, bathrooms, etc., are done. Good news is that it is getting built finally.

Woodland, WA skatepark bowl is North of Vancouver about 20 minutes. The bowl is fun and some locals told me they are going to start working on the street elements of the park this week. That is not for sure though, it was just word of mouth from a kid with dirt on his face and bent handlebars. Also while we were there, Little Caleb rolled/broke his ankle. I talked to him today and he should be out for a while.

Battleground, WA is done, but you can't ride it. They are waiting until the landscaping is done to open. If you don't know Battleground, it is also about 20 minutes North of Vancouver. You can go North from either I-5 or the I-205. They will both merge together just before the Battleground Exit.

Just some news on the parks, see you out there."

If you have any pictures of the new Parks send them my way. I would like to show people what is going on out there.-ben
