After seeing how dialed that back is I knew I wanted to have that nice open feeling at my desk. Things had really started piling up. It seems like there is the remnants of a few years of projects all over the place. From small parts, to print-outs, random stickers, magazines and t shirts.
I didn't get totally through the purge project seeing as this was the first day we were running at 95% power. Bauer was back, Richard is still away, but we still had lots of catching up to do and lots of discussions went down. Oh yeah, I also had to unload the van from the OS Show yesterday, so it was a pretty busy day. I am not sure if I will have my office fully dialed tomorrow, but definitely by weeks end.
I left the office around 6:30. I tried to head out around 5, but that rarely happens. I always find something to get caught up with. One of them http://weloveyouso.com. It is a blog created by Spike Jonze and other writers and artists that have been involved with the film Where the Wild Things Are. There is a lot of content since there are several people that post, some great and some you just glance at.
On Friday they posted a story about Fred Rogers from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood going up against the US Senate subcommittee to save the Corporation for Public Broadcasting from Budget cuts by Richard Nixon so that money could be funneled into the Vietnam war. The 6 minute 30 second video will soften even the most harden man like it did the Senate Subcommittee Chairman. They warn to grab a tissue just in case. It really is a great watch.

I grabbed some dinner on the way home. It was quickly devoured, I was starving, while I caught up and finished watching Cyclism Sunday. MOnday this time of year usually have nothing on so I decided to watch my Netflix, Quantum of Solace. Thwile that was playing I decided to rebuild a set of Super Pro Wheels. I have had some parts for this build for a while, but my weekend part sales at the OS Show gave me enough extra money to finally hook up Mike Vincent and get some parts off him that have been sitting around the office. Stem one was cutting out a lot of spokes, 12 gauge spokes don't like that very much and neither did my hand or cutters. A heavy cleaning and polishing session, and then a building party of one, well 96. I am really glad that we don't ride 48 spoke wheels as a standard anymore. They do build up easier it seems, but tensioning all of those extra spokes really wares out your hands.
The final product turned out real nice. I will final true and tension them tomorrow since it was getting late and I wanted to go to bed. It was pretty nice to get back to a normal day, even if it just lasts this week. Well Bauer and I hope for a full normal week. I got a phone call from Mark earlier in the night and we are shredding at DVS tomorrow, so that should be dialed. I'm tired. Check the Flickr for more photos of the purge and wheel build.
