Good day at the office. Did some major computer updates. Took most of the day for the downloads. I also received a rad thank you letter from the kid I did a phone interview with yesterday. He was very appreciative and said I inspired him to work for a job in the bicycle industry. Good luck man, it takes hard work, well, for most.

Normal lunch at Quiznos lead to some project work. I also grabbed Ryan some parts to tune up his bike. Towards the end of the day Jim and Nuno came back from the shirt printer where they picked up 2 new colors of our 85 shirt. So stoked on the new colors. BTW, that is also my favorite shirt. I left the office about 5:30 and headed home to chill for a bit before the Podium Session that was rescheduled for tonight.

When I got home I decided I would dial in Ryan's bike for him. Forks, Stem, Front Wheel Tune up. I had to scrounge a headset bearing together since his lower one was shattered. Luckily I had most of one in my backpack and I was able to repack it and make that work. When I opened the stem box them supposed to be black stem was silver. Too late to turn back now I ran with it. Replace a front spoke, bearings, axle and some time on the truing stand and the front wheel was new again.

All of the work only took about 45 min. and after a good wipe down and removal of a broken spoke in the back, the bike was pretty damn dialed. I didn't touch his super loose chain, not sure why he runs it that way, but he does. I headed to Podium shortly after the bike was done to get my shred on.

I hit up Mark when I got there and he came down to meet me. He gets a call from some other people at the gate and he lets them in. It was three car loads of people, well 6 people, most of which had never ridden the part. I was bummed at first, but the session actually turned out to be really good and a lot of fun. Bauer was going nuts along with Death Ride Dave. Dave was totally living up to his nickname. I had talked to Jesse earlier in the day and he planned to come out and sure enough a bit into the session he did. It was great to see Faith and him, especially since they have lived out here since mid April and this was the first time I have seen them. Jesse shredded like usual and I give Bristol and him a tie for the best lookbacks in bmx.

We called it a night around 10:30. I was beat and one of my knees was no stoked on a near wreck I had earlier in the night. I said my goodbyes and hit the road. Grabbed dinner on the way and came home to chill and watch the tube a bit. I shot the above photo of Faith and Jesse since I thought they would be a great pic to remind me of the day.

I also want to end this with a big Happy Birthday to Mark. Happy birthday Homie!
