After a bit me and my cousin went outside to check out the snow and the farm. It has changes a lot since I was last here. My Grandpa Ben's, not named after him, kids had all settled down in their own places on the land. The house my Grandma and him live in has not changed a bit since I was last here.

When we went back inside we all got ready and set off to cruise around for the day. This is the only place I don't mind being a "tourist." It's always a history lesson in the life I lived.

The first stop of the day was the Buddy Holly banks and memorial. This is one of my favorite riding spots on earth. It was pretty sad to see how destroyed it is now. I put some of the first marks on it and now it is almost ruined, total shame. I imagine it will be gone soon enough like the Tigard Banks, my #1 favorite spot.

The rest of the day was spent checking out all the places we grew up, went to school or just hung out at. A few thrift stores were also fit in there. They are way better in a place where people don't target them, so the chances you will find some really good stuff is quite high. We finished off with some lunch and eventually back to the farm for dinner. My Grandma was making Chicken Mole with Rice and Beans and I know I couldn't wait to dig in.

I shot lots of pictures of the farm, the memorial and the spots riding or I grew up in and they are all in the flickr. Check them out if you want. The above photo is of the sign out front of my grandparents house and that is Ben in the background about to make his morning rounds.

bdubblevision was here.
