Guess I don't need to be that harsh.

Years ago when I blew up my first engine a Regional Manager kicked major ass and round up all my paper work, since everything used to be on paper and not in a computer, from a bunch of boxes he dug through and got Mazda to give me a full warranty on my engine saving me about $8000 dollars. Needless to say I have become a loyal customer and they really make a usually pain in the ass task, especially with a low sitting car and quick 15 minute stop. Thank you Jiffy Lube.

The rest of the day consisted of a Texas sized product meeting at 9:30am and then more wrestling with my computer. I had our "IT" guy take a look at my problem and all he had for me was, well not to reinstall Windows, but to reinstall SolidWorks. That is his problem solver for everything and that is why he gets quotes around his "IT" title. I never new IT stood for reinstall everything.

Oh yeah, after spending my day repairing SolidWorks and eventually reinstalling it, the problem still exists. Wow, thanks.'

Cool, news I will be involved with the shooting of an episode of Fantasy Factory along with Greyboy, Truly OdD, Jim Bauer and a few others next week. Should be a good time. Damn, I just want to shred that warehouse. Hook it up Rob!

Tuesday. Day 2 of a short week. I didn't know it was a short week until I looked at the calendar today. Turns out we have Friday off to observe Independence Day. Most would be stoked, I am impartial since I know we have a lot to do and this is just one more day behind we will get. Stoked.

Quite the day at the office. New prototypes were nice to see, but I didn't get what I wanted done and wont get the answers and hopefully the plan I need until, fingers crossed, tomorrow. All I wanted to do after work was come home unwind and get my mind off the schedule and the decreasing numbers of days. But that was not to happen.

Turned out right when I got home there was a truck full of dirt blocking the driveway and eventually a pile of dirt in my spot. Wasn't too stoked, but really just didn't feel like dealing with more shit. Luckily Ryan came home and helped Rachael get the pile moving. I was totally restless and went outside to help where I could.

Limited tools meant limited helping, but the dirt got moved through the garage and into the side yard where Rachael had plans to build herself a rest and relaxation area. Eventually the major part of the pile was gone so I worked on dusting of my bikes and cleaning up the garage and driveway. All went well and I can't wait to see how the yard turns out.

Eventually went to dinner and decided to hit the Bell and make a second go at trying their new Bacon Cheezy Potato Burrito. I tried on Saturday night and even though my receipt read no sour cream, the burrito had sour cream. I hate sour cream. I emphasized till I was annoying that I did not want sour cream and they said they got it. Receipt read no sour cream, but the fucking burrito had it again. What the Fuck?

Oh well, skipped that part of dinner again. I am not bummed about new having wasted 6 bucks. I am just fucking annoyed that they made me feel like a dick only for them to not get it right... again. The above photo is of the side yard and Ryan spreading out the dirt. Early morning meeting tomorrow.

Pretty typical busy Monday. Meetings, working, distractions. Grey, Truly and Opie came in to grab some goodies. The main was Truly was upgrading his OG Sunday! to a Pale Yellow Ian Schwartz 2nd Wave. I guess Tru is hooked on Ian's part in the Sunday video and wanted to support the dude since he is so inspired by him. Sounds good to me.

The bonus of the deal goes to Opie who over the last few weeks has been nibbling on the grind box with Grey and Truly and he is coming up on Tru's old setup so he can get a bike going. Can't wait for the Naples Sessions now.

I got a call from Tru towards the end of my day and he needed some help with some stuff so I jetted over there when I left the office. I shot the above photo when everything was almost ready to go. Not to long after this pic we shredded, well them, I am still nursing my knee, and the smile on Tru's face was priceless. After a bit I went for a cruise around Naples and then headed home for a chill night.

Bestwick hit another run out of the park. One last try one last run to win it all and he did it. So nuts and such a treat to watch him ride a bike. I vote him as the Ambassador of BMX. Great contest.

Slept in super late for once and made zero plans other than to chill for the day. The above photo is of Ryan and Rachael doing exactly the opposite about to take off from the house to go on a bike ride around town. I am real stoked on the macro on the new iPhone and the screen focus selection tool. I was able to stay focused on the screen and have them two blur. I realy dug the effect.

After they took off I watched Juno for a bit then I remembered that VS. had a bunch of Tour De France Stage flashbacks of Lance Armstrong on. I went into my room and watched that. They concentrated on the 2003 tour, Win #5 for lance. What races those were. So great to watch. The tour starts next Saturday 4th of July at 6:30am West Coast and I can't wait. The Tour preview they showed was great.

Other than watching the tour stuff, I just relaxed today. I'm now ready for another full week and I really hope my knee is feeling better by the 8th. That should be a fun day. More on that another day.

I headed over to Grey's for a bit to hang out and ride a bit. Still feeling out the knee and didn't want to push it. The stupid thing was I ended up totally scorpion flop on the street from nibbling on a curb. Grey laughed at me and I laughed at myself. After the fall I called it and headed home.

After bit back at the crib I was ahnging out with Rachael and she asked if I wanted to go into LA to see Roller Derby. Our friend Punky, Dave Jacobs girlfriend was skating in tonight's match. I said hell yeah and it was on. I loosened up with a few pre-derby beverages and we headed over to meet the Z's and car pull into the city.

We parked in a shady neighborhood and walked over to the event where a line had built up and waited to enter. I grabbed my ticket while Jeff and Tamara ran to grab their car and move it since better, safer. parking had opened up. Once inside it was on! Cute girls everywhere, great tamales, and a slaughter about to start.

The Derby night was so much fun. So many hard hits and Punky even got launched out of the arena right in front of us about 2 minutes into the first match. Once I started to figure out how things worked and all the girls got their skates underneath them, the rounds were so great to watch. I can't wait to go back and see more of these.

Time to get that started, it took forever.

While the computer was doing it's thing I helped out in back with the catalog shoot, trued the wheels I built, man, pretty much a lot of stuff to stay busy so the day didn't just drag on. The defrag. turned out to be the fast part of the process. I decided to run my virus scanner and when I left for the day about 6 to go catch Transformers the computer had scanned 1.7 million items and did not look like it was going to slow any time soon. So I left it and took off for the movies.

I hit my favorite theater Buena Park Metroplex up and settled in for the movie. Damn, I thought is was so rad. How was the story, who cares, the battle scenes and the other animations were off the hook and my mid was loving it. I give it a thumbs up and I enjoyed it so much more than the first, check it.

-Roll to Walmart to grab stuff for Bauer and end up getting some tool stuff for my desk area.

I know I missed a bunch of stuff, but not feeling like writing tonight. I wish I was able to buy Marcus' Datsun off him. The picture above is Jim going through rim samples finding the parts he needs so he can add them to the production line table. I ended up bringing wheel parts home to build wheels that we will be selling as completes at some point. No time to wait for factory samples, so some things have to be put together here by us to make the catalog deadline. This is a fun time of the year for sure. I took off on the Model-C this morning to feel out my knee. The transition from the up into the down stroke is where it really kills me. It really doesn't feel like my knee, more like my quad.

I made a list of things to get through today and I put the head phones on and hit play on Angels and Demons Audio book. This would make maybe the 10th time I have listened to it and the book is way better than the movie. Lunch time rolled around and I had some good progress on the day. I decided to pedal up to the bell and come back and watch the new Props again. I really can't get enough of the issue.

The above photo is from the Thailand Trip with Aaron Ross, Gary Young, Brian Kachinsky and Chris Doyle. That is also a transvestite with really perky fake boobs totally creeping Doyle and Aaron, too good. The rest of the shot captures a pretty normal occurrence in the conference room, the table covered with random samples like Adam Bantons new grip, a Flatware Grip and Stem. Goodies!

I ended up the day with a totally completed project off the list and headed home around 6. I stopped off at my local Mexican joint and picked up dinner and the night has been a really chill one full of ignoring my phone, paying another cable bill, watching movies and even a bit of a Skate session. Quiet night at the house too. Not sure where everyone is at. Bout to call it a night and try to get another early start tomorrow.

I took a look at some new samples that came in while we were gone and stuff is looking good. The busy time of the year is ramping up quick and there is a lot to do and finalize. I think Bauer starts the catalog this week and that is always a treat to watch come together.

The knee is still weird, not sure if it is bad or just being weird right now. I can walk totally normal in most cases. There are a few times when I have limited motion. I know I cannot ride though. More time I guess. Totally unrelated other than a lack of time is the battery life on my iPhone 3gs. By the time I arrived home last night at 6:30 the thing was almost dead. By 7 or so it was totally dead and shut it's self down. I put it on the charger and I am not touching it till tomorrow, I guess I will see them how she holds up. Over all though, the phone is pretty dialed. So far the S does not stand for Suck.

Today really didn't offer a lot of photo moments since it was pretty much nose to the grind stone. The only one I really shot is the above. It is from the photo booth and Bauer's wedding. Jim started to upload the photos from the booth to his Flickr last night and this is one with Polly, Aaron and myself. Most photo's were shot by the people sitting with a trigger, but this one was shot by Jeff Z from the camera since he thought I was a funny candid from their angle. I have to agree. There are lot's of these photos and the booth was such a great idea. It made a super rad party even better. Truly a great night with friends.

Did some stretching and decided to ride a section I never get to touch cause there are usually too many people. I drop down and feel out a grind on the taller across ledge and the thing is super buttery. Another pass and I Luc-e feeler it. The thing seemed like gold, so nice.

On my third pass as I hop onto the ledge my right knee makes the loudest pop noise. I come down from the grind and I can't pedal. When standing there I feel fine, but when I pedal I definitely feel a lot of pain. I go off to the side to stretch out my leg and evaluate everything. It feels like there is just a bunch of pressure in the area but I can't work it out like I usually would. There is also a new lump on the side of my knee and I cannot tell if it is the cartilage bulging out or maybe just a knot in the muscle.

So after 15 minutes of session I head out of the park, get back in my car and head home. Bummer. When i get close to home I figure I will stop off at Pep Boys to see if they can actually get the Alignment right this time. I brought it in a month ago for a balance and alignment. It took twice the amount of time they said it would and I had to call to see what was taking so long. The said it had been done for a while and they of course didn't call to let me know.

I tried one other night to have it fixed but they were backed up for hours. Two trips away for a week each, work, busy schedule, I decide today was going to be the day. I talk to the guy he says they will take a look. I tell them exactly what they didn't do and he said it would be a little bit if I could leave my car. I say that's fine, grab my bike and try to pedal home. It hurt too much to I walked most of the distance.

Fast forward through several hours of being at home I look at the clock and it is just about 6pm. I dropped the car off at like 10:30am. I try to call and the phone just rings forever. I check their hours and they close at 6. I ask Rachael if she could take me up there so I can hopefully catch someone and get my car back.

When we get there the place is on lock down and my car is in the exact spot I originally parked it in. I go up to the front doors and get someones attention and tell him what's up and that I need my car back. He does some checking and will only give me my keys and my car if I take responsibility that they may have touched it and I could mess it up by driving. I tell him fine, that the car hasn't been moved.

He lets me in so I can grab my keys and my car is the only job left on the board. I get my keys, chirp the alarm and that is when I know no one had touched it. Earlier I just used the door lock to lock my car since I didn't have the remote to arm the alarm when I grabbed my bike. 7 hours sitting there, no phone call when it was promised on the paper work to me by 12:30p, and no work done. What is with the way they run this place? I got the managers info and I need to give him a call tomorrow.

Today was a bit of a harsh one coming off such a rad week in Austin. Not sure what is wrong with my knee. I will probably chill on it for a few days, but there is definitely some junk floating around in there or my muscle tore away from the bone. I can walk fine and the pain I feel when I do feel it is manageable. All in time I guess.

Up decently early but after a week of going non-stop I really just wanted to chill today. I did get to do that for a while but I had to grab some lunch, but more importantly get ready to be at Kurt Rasmusson's wedding by 2.

I hit up Quiznos to get my fix and then watched some recorded shows. I wanted to watch the last Ultimate Fighter since the finally was tonight. I was most of the way through the show cutting it close on time to get ready, when I noticed my new neighbor across the alley was out back and I needed to talk to him about parking arrangements.

I tried to get my car into my spot with his van and trying to pretend that the other 2 cars that are usually there and it was going to be impossible. We talked and I offered solutions based on how we have always done it. He seemed agreeable and willing to try it so we will see. The talk took way longer than I thought it would and I was now about 30 minuted behind on time.

I finished up the show, got ready real quick and hit the road. I was going to stop by the office to bring Kurt his copies of the Sunday! video since I knew he had a lot of family in town and his parents and sister would be stoked to get the video, but I didn't have enough time. I snuck in a side entrance and I see Stephan Campbell, his wife, Dakota and Cody sitting in a row right where I came in. I shot a few pictures and sat down.

The first Faith Based wedding I have been to in quite a long time, and it was a nice ceremony. The crew and I were definitely sore thumbs in the crowd though. It's like they knew we didn't go to church, haha.

After the ceremony we were invited outside to get started on the reception. Lots of cheese, crackers, lemonaide, tea and water to be had. The crew and I just hung out at our own very empty table and did normal stuff. Eventually Kurt and Kim arrived from photos and I snuck up on him to say congrats and this was the first time I actually got to meet Kim. She was stoked to finally meet me and that was rad. She seems like a great girl and Kurt is gonna be way happy.

Dinner was great, Garlic Chicken Alfredo, Meat Lasagna, Salad, fresh steamed veggies and a variety of rolls served buffet style. Great stuff, we all had eye's bigger than our stomach's and filled up quick. Our table was near the buffet and we were all bummed we were so full with so much great food just sitting there, haha.

Dak and Cody had to leave bit early so Cody could get to work. Stephan, his lady and I hung out and watched what was going on. They almost left before the Wedding Cupcakes were served but ended up sticking around when I gave them a hard time.

The cupcakes were so good and we all devoured them quick. After that Kurt and Kim headed back to change and we decided to head out. I said my good byes and decided to run to the office real quick to grab videos to bring back to Kurts Mom and sister.

That mission went fast and it turned out Bauer was at the office working on his car. I talked to him real quick, grabbed my bike, gear and some videos. Michael came in as I was leaving, full office on a Saturday.

I made a quick trip back to the wedding and dropped off the videos to a very thankful mom and sister then headed home. I was beat when I got back and I hung out with some people that were over for a bit then decided to take a nap.

I got up in time to watch the Ultimate Finally and it the final fight is about to start as I type this. Should be a great one. It was a great day today and a huge Congratulations go out to Kurt and Kim.

Funny enough we actually benefited from not doing preregistration. That line was about 3 times longer than the one we were in.

We did get our phones, but it wasn't with out some watching of the clock. We were supposed to be meeting in the lobby of the hotel at 8:30 to go to breakfast. It was about 8:30 when we left the mall and I hit Chris up to push everything back. a bit. After some quick packing, a fast shower, and the fastest new phone setup ever we set off for some grub.

Magnolia was the spot again and most of us chose to try the breakfast tacos since they seem to be the thing in Austin. Damn, they were good. Bauer was still at the hotel since he had a late night hanging out with Chase and Aaron. We scooped him up, checked out and decided to head downtown to check out Mellow Johnny's, Lance Armstrong's Bike shop.

Pretty much from the second you drive up on the shop your mouth is hanging open and when you go inside it gets no better. Wow what a shop. My favorite part of the shop had to be all of the history from bikes and the 7 Tour de France Jerseys on display. When we went down stairs there were even more of Lance's bikes and some more jersey from great riders, like Alberto Contador for example.

We spent about 45 min. checking out the shop and picked up some goodies. It was really cool to see them actually having some of our stuff since it isn't a BMX shop at all. But the fixed gear crowd love our plastic Twisted pedals just as much as the BMX crowd does. We left our cards for the shop manager to let them know we stopped through and loved the place then we took off.

Driving around at random was a big theme any time JC was at the wheel and that theme continued through today. We spent a lot of time going no where. That eventually lead to food talk and deciding to go to Rudy's BBQ.

This place was cool. Every one of their restaurants is teamed up with a gas station. When you go inside there a tubs full of drinks, a real simple meat based menu and a camera that shows the cooks cutting the meat up the ready it for serving. We put in our group order and quickly walked off with the food and a loaf of bread.

The loaf of bread is another one their things. It is a great way to devour some meat. Meat, slice of bread, BBQ sauce, some pickles and go! We all loved this place and is def. a must visit if you are ever in Austin.

Not only was the food good at Rudy's they had the option of regular or crushed ice at the soda fountain and they had this amazing hand washer. One run, about 12 seconds, in this thing and your hands just tingles with an amazing and invigorating feeling. Sweet hand washer for sure.

After the food we headed to Chase and Aaron's place to film a video bike check with our iPhone for the Sunday! site. Aaron was away picking up his Rukus from the shop. By the time he got back it was already time for JC to head to the airport.

JC took off and it was up to Jim and I to get Aaron to assemble his bike so we could do the check. It ened up working out fine so keep an eye out for that on the Sunday site.

We all hung out on the front porch of their house for a while visting, and waiting to head out for our plane. Tah stopped through and we all just shot if for a while, picture above. Jim and I rode Aaron and Chase's Rukus' a lot. I even managed to wreck Aaron's right of the shop scooter in the front yard. Nothing was hurt, no big deal, just a shirt change. Those scooter are so much fun. Can't wait to pick one up.

About 4:30 we decided to go grab a sandwich at Thunder Cloud and head to the airport. Aaron came a long to eat and we said our good byes. On the way to the airport we saw this crazy SUV with these gnarliest knock off that stuf out almost a foot. Seemed so illegal. Then we saw a car with the same wheel. Either way, looked lame and dangerous, haha.

We made it to the airport, nothing too crazy. Plane was a bit delayed, but only about 15 minutes. On the plane I had this crazy Gourmet Chocolate Chip Cookie on the plane that Chris recommended. I also spent most of the flight shooting photos out the window of the most insane cloud formations that you could feel the pilots avoiding if possible. We ended up making it back pretty much on time. Way better than JC who last I know was stuck in Detroit.

Rachael picked me up and I drove the car home from Jeff Z's place since Rachael need to be dropped off to hang with Z's wife. I came home and have been spending most of the night catching up on this and that and dialing in my new phone while catching up on recorded shows.

I had such a great time in Austin, I am pretty sure we all did. Totally one of my favorite places and I can't wait to go back. There are ton's of photos of everything I talked about above and from the last few days we spent in Texas. Oh yeah, I guess your not supposed to mess with it.

We checked out a few things and cruised neighborhoods looking at Dwell houses since there is the largest amount of them per capita in Austin than any where else.

We were near 9th street so we stopped by to check it out. I guess since it's the hot season they stay away from there and you could tell. Still a pretty amazing place. So much history.

We did lunch around 2 at some Italian spot. Great Kalimari. After that we headed for another quick meeting and then to Empire again to hang with the guys. That didn't last long since the guys couldn't really meet up. We went down to 6th street and chilled at a bar called Paradise and had a few drinks.

Around 7:30 we headed to meet Aaron at a pizza spot called Home slice. Wow what a wait. It had to be an hour and a half before we got to sit. Then another 45 at least till we had food. Luckily it was pretty damn good pizza. Nice cheese blend.

We hung out and shot the shit for quite a bit longer and headed out from there about 10:30. Everyone but Bauer decided to stay in and he went back into town to hang out with Chase and crew since we head home tomorrow. JC and I have plans to get up and be at the Apple Store by 7 to try and score new iPhones. Super nerds! Can't wait.

I had another great day today in Austin. There are so many cool spots and tons of stuff to do. It's amazing how we ran around non-stop on a week day and traffic was never an issue. This place is great. The sign above are the rules for 9th Street. Tons of pictures in the Flickr.

-It is hot as hell this week, but it isn't that hot. Not sure why all the complaining down here.

-Insane amounts of food spots to go to. The Livestrong plan is totally suffering after one day. I will get more serious about it again tomorrow.

-Spots everywhere and most of them go un ridden since they aren't considered that sweet since they are like cockroaches.

-Empire is sweet and the staff sweeter. One on one game in a heater with JC was a great way to burn some calories.

-The Honda Rukus is sweet and I still want to get one. Rode Aaron's and I can see why they all own them.

-Twitter is a rad way to communicate with people. A tweet today is leading to a tour of Live Strong's new building tomorrow. Can't wait.

-The Ramada Death Gap is the next Serious Business in Austin. That thing is insane and I can believe someone tried it.

-The Austin Church gap is still ridiculous and I can't believe Jimmy did that. It has been shortened by one stair on the landing side. Easier? Damn, double too much.

I am sure there is so much more. More than usual. Lots of pictures from the last few days in the Flickr.
